The next day I woke up very early, feeling sick to my stomach. I know that my alarm woke me up because I wouldn’t have woken myself up that early, although I have no recollection of it. My stomach felt awful from sleeping so little (I slept from 2:30 to 5:00), and slowly ate a fruit salad I had bought at a gas station the night before on our way back to the hotel, likely looking like an expressionless zombie sitting up in bed, fully dressed, eating fruit slices. I felt worse at first, then steadily better, as always seems to be the case. Grim gave me a call and I headed to room 123 just next door. I waited in there while they finished getting ready, then Grim said that he was going to get the Helmut of Running Riot fame, which was supposed to be shipped to the hotel he was staying at. I of course knew of the 4Helmut! campaign, and was looking forward to trying it on.

We all met up in the parking lot and hitched a ride once again with aVeryEasyTarget.

It's weird being in a car where I'm not the one putting the Halo music on...

We found a parking space and walked to the Halofest line.

Crazy building is crazy.

Rukari was of course still there, and behind him, all members of the 405th who were cosplaying, followed by HBO.

By the way Roxy, your 405th blue Hayabusa friend was nowhere to be seen the entire weekend, so I couldn’t say hi! :( Grim ran off to meet up with Kanbo while me and Grim IV waited in line, holding various cosplay weaponry and chatting with BS Angel and other industry members who were coming out on occasion (likely to calm us down).

I think this has been a dream of mine since I was 14.

Eventually, Grim came back and tossed me my HBO t-shirts, which got lots of jokes about reliable mail service. You know our modo…

Then, the floodgates opened.
